Nick provides a safe space to play within the brilliant practice of the Alexander Technique. “You have time” is a core tenet that is so well illustrated during the classes, I remind myself everyday. I highly recommend investing your time in this, Nick helps integrate lessons that will benefit you as an artist and it’s even been helpful with parenting.
We can all benefit from the tools that are shared to find your center, it allows for a more creative flow in your artistry.
-Andrew Keegan, Actor/Entrepreneur
It’s nearly been a year working with Nick. There was life before AT and Nick and life after. I prefer the latter. “I have time” and thinking my directions have become my own secret weapon in times of high stress that comes with the ready, wait, set, go world of the industry. Nick provides a safe space to explore, play, and evolve while reminding you there is nothing you have to DO. With allowing myself to do nothing and the lovely table work creating more and more space in my body, the poise of a queen emerged. I can also just easily be a neurotic squirrel with the help of AT. You know, balance.

"I originally began working with Nick in hopes of alleviating lingering pain
in my lower back after badly straining a muscle a few months earlier. I
also hoped to get relief from chronic ankle pain that was brought on from
running long distances. The Alexander Technique turned out to be an
approach unlike any other I had experienced before, and Nick was an
excellent instructor. He was able to show me how I was holding excess
muscle tension in my body and then worked on training my mind to consciously
release that tension. With his expert guidance, he helped me to rethink the
way I approached simple movements like sitting, standing, walking and
running. Not only was I able to find relief from my back pain, but he
helped me to develop a more efficient running stride that virtually
eliminated the ankle soreness I had experienced for years. Beyond the pain
relief, Nick helped me apply the Alexander Techniques to other areas of my
life as well. I am an avid surfer and by applying the postural awareness I
learned with Nick to surfing, I have made great improvements to my
technique. Overall my experience with Nick has been wonderful and I expect
the knowledge and awareness I've acquired to benefit me for the rest of my
life."

Through my work with Nick George and the Alexander Technique, I have found a great deal of freedom to connect with my body. Nick provides a safe, open environment to allow yourself to be vulnerable, which frees up old self-judgements and gives you the ability to trust your body to be there for you. Whether it's nerves, being able to focus, or releasing tension that inhibits performance, Alexander Technique has given me the ability to enjoy being in my body and to encounter the world through a calm, aware, and flexible approach. It is sometimes considered a subtle practice, but I have found the results to be quite drastic, and the process of learning and growing through Alexander Technique has incorporated itself into everything I do. I can't recommend Nick George highly enough.
-Julie Pusch (Professional Musician and Actress)
Nick is an excellent teacher of The Alexander Technique. He lives and practices the principles daily and his enthusiasm and authenticity are contagious. I have been a do-er all my life, and being with Nick during class helped me be in process with my do-er to open to my being. He also helped me strengthen my awareness of the connection of how my body feels, my emotional energy and my body's desired movements. This was possible with His help to see what was unseen in me, present it with kindness and skill. I have less neck pain, greater body awareness and now have greater ease and confidence in myself.
